Tuesday, December 25, 2007 Well well, merry '07 x 'mas everybody. With God's grace, i am NOT doing guard duty on this christmas eve or christmas day. Phew. haha.. You guys have no idea how close i was to doing guard on this festive day. Well, one week of leave gone just like that. Relativity really sucks in that sense. Wish i had another week just to catch up more with friends tho. Last week was one catch up after another followed by a short 4 day 3 night trip to KL. And immediately after touching down, i drove to meet jie and alvin for supper. (Thanks ah jie. Surprise me like that -___-) hahah... KL Trip well, i honestly didnt expect much from it, except for shopping and eating. Sunway lagoon was really a let down to be honest. After so many years of operation, i would have expected them to at least have new rides or make the old ones look more attractive. With paint peeling and rust on most, it was really a sorry sight. However, it was still relaxing none the less to take time off this sunny island and the mudane drone of NS. What was GOOD however, was the shopping and eating. I must have brought back more than souveniors if u get what i mean. Well, what am i to do. If there isnt anything to see, the only thing is to eat. Right? Anyway, i got myself a pair of timberland shoes which i was longing for quite a while. waterproof(Gore-Tex), comfy and more imptly rugged, its the perfect shoe for long walks and hikes, overseas or local. I also got myself an oakley bag. Genuine or a fake, i still cant put my thumb on it cos it just looks so friggin real. On another note, travelling to places like KL really needs the right company. Man i missed the previous time i travelled up to genting and KL with church mates. they really make all the difference. Sentosa Well, i must say i was pleasantly surprised at how much it changed.. For the better in case ur wondering. With luge and sky rides, i cant wait for the resorts to be opened. Not for the casino. im not one who puts money on the roulette table. Im waiting for the theme parks. With such a pictureque environment around it, its definitely gonna be the talk to the town when its developed. Headed out to sentosa on my first day of leave, with sijia and sihan. We met at 1030 only to be delayed till 1140 cos someone had to wear long pants and shoes. hahha. no names, so take a 50-50 chance at guessing. But guess what! We only got delayed further by someone who decided to make a grand enterance at 12pm. Haha okay lah.. joking only.. Had a really great time at sentosa that day. The rain DID dampen my spirits slightly tho. (Cos i ended up paying for the tea break at sakae sushi which happened to be the place we decided to take cover from the rain. LoL.) Did i mention we rode the luge and skyride 3 times in all? Damn their marketing strategist. haha 3 rides for 16 bucks.. rather than 1 ride for 9. Went to the beach after that. Only me and sihan went into the water tho. the rest didnt want to get wet, even tho it was already raining. -.- And one of them went to the extent of kope-ing my hat. Christmas candle light service As mentioned above, i managed to attend last night's candle light service cos i had signal guys to cover out duty. Although it doesnt seem like much, theres just something oddly theraputic about holding a lit candle and singing carols as you watch the wax drip, droplet by droplet, forming intricate honeycomb patterns. Camwhored abit with yun and ade, i'll let the pics do the talking. Merry X'mas '07 Row Damnit!
Enjoy the pics. Merry Christmas '07 Sam'07 Signin out. Peace! |
