Hui Yun's Birthday Surprise!(?)



The group of us celebrated yun's birthday on June 14th at Bishan's Cafe Cartel. Had a real good time eating and making merry. Pity on the drinking part tho.. hehe.. Yun! You're 18 and have now reached the legal limit. *hint hint* hehe.. Surprised her with a cake and ended up taking lotsa pics. This may sound a tad late, but Happy birthday girl! Blessed 18th and may this marking bring changes in your life. And if u dont need the book, just pass it to someone else who needs it.. haha.. TELL ME NEXT TIME YOU RECOVER SOMETHING YOU LOST KZ?! -.- hehe.. Looking forward to our next bible study session... before i go in camp. ahha.. =D

Macritchie Trail Hike ~07

Well, i've done this hike 3 times prior to this, and it doesnt fail to amaze me everytime i go back. But there's something about Aidah i tell you. Three times i bring ppl and it doesnt rain. But when i bring her, It Rains. -.- (Dont *bish* me just yet Aidah =P) But thats the magical thing. It Rained.

The hike started out pretty normally, although the monkeys seem to have packed off to somewhere cooler for the summer. Did'nt see a single monkey till we were very close to the tree top walk. While walking the plank, We noticed the skies darkening pretty badly. Thats when we decided to pick up the pace. We managed to beat the clouds to the top of jelatong tower, althought they seemed hot on our tails. We were relaxing by the river side with the cool winds and enjoying the biscuits when the clouds decided we had enough fun and decided to unleash their bladders on us -.- We reached the golf course before we took the full brunt of it. We were completely drenched from head to toe, with the wind howling (No joke this. Really howling like an animal)

Next came the mad dash thru the jungle. With the rain beating down of us, and my vision blurred with the incessant dripping of rain down from the bill of my cap, we had to navigate trecherous terrain which was now marred with mud and mini rapids that torrent down the middle of our path. We practically had to dance thru all the obstacles, leaping from one foot hold to the other. Its by God's grace we didnt slip and land with any injury. And what happened next, was entirely by God's grace too =]

When we reached the 2km homestretch, the rain seemed to have diminished in ferocity and parted us with a gift for our eyes. What it is, Well, i wouldnt say. Go out there, pray that it rains and hike it out =D All i gotta say is, Aidah, you're one VERY lucky girl. haha.. The odds of that happening are so slim, that winning the lottery is easier. (Okay, so MAYBE im exaggerating)

Well, hiking again pretty soon. got 3 hikes lined up, and im so looking forward to them. =]

Jie! before i forget, good luck for your studies there. glad to see that everything is working fine. Hope ur enjoying urself and when i say i miss ya, i think i speak for the rest of us back here in SG. =D
